Coronation Street airs fresh drama next week on the ITV soap, as David Platt gets into trouble with the law after a hit-and-run.
The character is innocent of the crime, but he is actually covering up the real culprit's part in the incident.
His wife Shona returns home in a panic next week, confessing that while moving his car she accidentally hit something.
Worried that someone might be hurt, David heads to the scene after seeing a dent in his car.
But when the couple arrive there is no evidence of anything having happened, and no injured person or animal so they wrongly believe they are in the clear.
Of course fans will learn that Todd Grimshaw is the victim of a hit-and-run that same very day, and he's rushed to hospital.
Battered and bruised, Todd can't remember much at all about the incident when he wakes up.
Back on the street, Shona and David are in turmoil when they realise Shona must have ran him over before driving off and leaving him.
While she didn't realise at the time, the fact she fled the scene and the pair have since covered their tracks leaves them at risk.
David decides to abandon the car miles away while the police are snooping around, until the coast is clear.
But awkwardly, the police manage to track down his vehicle at its location and quickly spot the damage.
Officer Craig Tinker leaves David to it as he remains calm and claims to not know anything about the crime.

It's clear Craig doesn't believe him though when he soon returns, and arrests David in front of his shocked loved ones.
Just prior to this, David and Shona discuss their options and how to go about either confessing or covering their tracks.
So will Shona be forced to admit what really happened that night, or will David end up taking the blame?
