Coronation Street teased more about the suspects of Adam Barlow's attack on Wednesday night.
After Monday's episode hinted that Sarah Platt, his wife, may have been with her ex Gary Windass when he was being attacked, fans were convinced it ruled them out for the wrong reasons.
Sarah and Gary exchanged weird looks at each other, with both of them having been out for mystery reasons over the night.
It's clear both of them are hiding something about that night, but Wednesday appeared to hush thoughts that they might have slept together while Adam was hit over the head in The Bistro.
Sarah was struggling as Adam remained in a coma at the hospital, with Daniel not convinced by her tears.
He accused her of being his attacker, while he also believed Gary was in the frame.
Viewers were with him too, while many continued to speculate Sarah and Gary were hiding a fling.
She mentioned fearing her husband would want nothing to do with her, continuing to hide something.
But it was when she headed back to the Street that Sarah accused Gary of lying about his alibi.
She heard from his wife Maria that she told the police they were together all night - with her covering for a missing Gary.
Sarah approached her ex, quickly telling him that it was a clear lie given she had seen him on the street during the night ahead of the incident.
Gary told her she was lying, downplaying her claims as she asked why Maria needed to lie for him.
So this possibly clears up any talks of them being together, given she thinks he did it and had simply seen him out.
But what it doesn't give away is their actual whereabouts that night, or what exactly they are both hiding.
