Corrie heart attack turmoil as Gail Platt collapses after tense family clash

After clashing with her children over grandson Sam, there is panic in the household as she fears she is dying from a heart attack.

It all kicks off after a recent shooting, that left Nick Tilsley and his son Sam in danger.

After his recent drama with partner Leanne, who was caught up with evil drug dealer Harvey and his crime gang, Nick has been stopped from seeing Sam.

Sam's mother Natasha fears he shouldn't be around him anymore, but does allow Gail to keep seeing him.

This news sparks David to try and help his brother see his son, but Gail feels the pressure about lying to Natasha.

She stresses about the situation and decides she has to respect her wishes, only to be duped by son David.

He manages to get Nick and Sam to meet during his time with Gail, but it's not long before a row breaks out.

Suddenly Gail heads outside needing to get some air, with Sam following to make sure his grandma is okay.

When he finds her, she's doubled over and clutching her chest in agony with him fearing the worst.

David, Sarah and Nick run out before an ambulance is called, with a breathless Gail claiming to be having a heart attack.

As the siblings worry for their mum, she blames her children for her health scare but will she be okay?

Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out what happens to the character and if she will pull through.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
