The night of cabaret, Christmas carols raised funds for Moodswings, the award-winning Manchester-based charity founded in 1999 to help people recover from mood problems and the severe emotional distress they can cause.

And the Corrie stars were on top form as Rob and Daniel, who play Daniel Osbourne and Bily Mayhew, pulled a festive cracker and, in Adam and Tanisha's case, played a game of tug-of-war with a candy cane.

Adam and Tanisha play twins Aadi and Asha Alahan in the long-running soap filmed in Trafford.

On Coronation Street a rift has formed between the characters after Aadi believed that dad Dev chose to save his sister over him before the family car exploded following a crash last month.

Aadi knocked back booze stolen from his dad's shop and keyed Dev's new car.

And he's since befriended Kelly Neelan who is being blamed by Asha's girlfriend Nina Lucas for the brutal murder of her late boyfriend Seb Franklin.

Co-star Alexandra, who plays Emma Brooker, was beaming at New York New York as she posed with an oversized Christmas candy alongside Gemma Winter Dolly-Rose, who got her hands on a giant gingerbread.

But at Christmas her character is set for heartache as she discovers that her fiance Curtis Delamere is not all he seems.

With her heart set on a big white wedding, viewers will be left wondering if Emma will be able to forgive or if Curtis will be leaving Coronation Street without saying 'I do,'

Then she and Faye Windass, who is back on the street after being jailed for the attack on Adam Barlow in a case of mistaken identity, make a terrible mistake.

It appears that the pair mow down an elderly man during a driving lesson in a taxi.
