Coronation Street fans are wondering if there's more to the arrival of newcomer Nicky Wheatley than a shoulder to cry on for Daniel Osbourne.
Soap watchers think sex worker Nicky, who met widower Daniel at a drinks reception, could actually be linked to his vile neighbour Geoff Metcalfe.
The sleazy magician was seeing escorts behind his wife Yasmeen's back.
He's given a sob story to his son Tim that he sought comfort elsewhere after being shunned by his wife, which is untrue.
So if he is one of Nicky's clients it could prove very awkward if they run into each other on the cobbles.
After finding out he had the sexually transmitted infection Chlamydia back in April he called his escort agency to complain.
This was after he tried to have Yasmeen believe she must given it to Geoff, and he railed at her for having the infection, cruelly calling her a 'disease ridden old tart.'
"I wouldn't be surprised," said one fan at the thought of Nicky having links to Geoff.
"Got to have, because why bring her in out of blue?" asked another on Twitter.
"Daniel will soon be off down the clinic with Geoff," said another.
Yasmeen is currently awaiting trial on Coronation Street after she slashed Geoff in the neck after he confessed to using escorts and made her wear a dress bought for one of them.
The distraught grandmother was tortured by Geoff for months, locked in a box and made to eat her own pet hen that he had slaughtered and cooked.
New arrival Nicky, played by Kimberly Hart-Simpson, caught Daniel's eye when he made a rare trip out of his flat to an event with Adam Barlow.
He hit it off with Nicky but he was horrified when he found out she was a sex worker.
However, he decided to meet her again in a hotel room and he poured his heart out about his late wife Sinead, for which she charged £220.
Actress Kimberly has hinted there's more too Nicky and we're yet to learn her backstory.
"Obviously, we don't know Nicky’s backstory. We don't know what drives her, but there is definitely going to be something," she said about the role.
