Coronation Street fans were floored when mild-mannered mechanic Tyrone Dobbs 'lost his rag' in Wednesday's Coronation Street.
The blundering character played by Alan Halsall snapped at his stepdaughter Hope Stape after years of aggro with the troubled 10-year-old.
Hope, played by Isabella Flanagan, has set out to make his life a misery after he left her mum Fiz for younger woman Alina Pop.

In a fit of jealousy, when she found out the couple were expecting a baby boy, she set fire to baby's cot in the flat they shared while his fiance Alina was sleeping.

Alina later miscarried the baby.
But Hope still showed no remorse for what she had done while her worried parents have since worked together to arrange therapy for her and to ease her back to school with her peers.
However in Wednesday night's Corrie Tyrone saw red when Hope pulled a sickie from school then rudely told Alina she wouldn't be attending their wedding, let alone be her flower girl.
"I won't be there I don't want you to marry her. Anyway I'm surprised you want me there after what I did," she whinged.

"You stole my dad and now he doesn't love me anymore."
Viewers were surprised when Tyrone got to his feet and shouted: "Stop it now you. You should be on your best behaviour especially to Alina, not kicking off and answering back."
And he wasn't done there.
"You set fire to the cot, you bunked off school and now you're in the cafe having lunch.
"You know what I'm not standing fro this any more."
Soap watchers took to Twitter to applaud him.
"Good about time someone told that little psychopath off!! On yersel Tyrone!" cheered one.
"Well done Tyrone for finally losing your rag with Hope," said another.
"I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Hope brought down a peg or two about time!! Go Tyrone!!" another praised.
But another said: "She needed to be told, but it was a harsh and it's a bit late Tyrone, since you tell have feelings for Fiz."
Unfortunately just as it appeared that Tyrone had got through to Hope, Alina found out that Corrie's 'devil child' has past form for starting fires for fun.
And it looks like this could spell the end for her and Tyrone.
