Coronation Street fans spotted a familiar face in a classic episode of the ITV soap recently.
Weekdays, the show airs past episodes on ITV3 with them currently airing episodes from the 90s.
In an episode that recently aired, fans couldn't believe their eyes when an actor from a different soap made an appearance.
As a police officer entered The Rovers pub, fans immediately recognised him.
They quickly realised he was a member of the Dingle clan on Emmerdale, and a pretty famous one at that.
Marlon Dingle was the character in particular, while of course it wasn't actually Marlon in the Corrie scene.
Emmerdale actor Mark Charnock appeared on the ITV soap before his days as his famous alter ego.
The scenes were from before he made his debut in the Dales in 1996.
Taking to Twitter, a fan shared a screen grab of the moment and said: "@markcharnock not often you see a dingle in a police uniform classic @itvcorrie."
Seeing the tweet, the official Corrie account tweeted: "'ello 'ello 'ello! What's going on here then."
It wasn't long before rival soap Emmerdale got involved, quipping back: "FIRST RULE OF DRAMA CLUB: NEVER MESS WITH DINGLES."
As the tweets rolled in, viewers were loving the exchange and the trip down memory lane.
Mark himself witnessed the interaction, and shared his own comments on his soap past.
He said: "It would appear that during the 90s, the police employed kids as bobbies. GOOD GRIEF!!!
"It looks like I’ve just straight from school to do my beat. How distressing. X."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm on ITV.
