Corrie fans spot Line of Duty crossover amid gun shot warning in Weatherfield

Coronation Street fans were treated to a rare Sunday episode of the ITV soap last night.

And it wasn't short of drama as drug lord Harvey sent one of his heavy men to put the frighteners on Leanne Battersby ahead of his trial.

Viewers saw Nick Tilsley and his son Sam targeted as gun shot hit Nick's car in the street.

Leanne was nearby and saw a defenceless Sam lying on the floor and fearing the worst.

But the father and son escaped unharmed and plucky Sam expertly memorised the number plate of the car where the shots came from and passed the information onto the police.

Leanne then informed them that she had earlier received a phone call from Harvey's aunt Sharon Bentley but didn't stick around to listen to what she had to say.

Away from the drama, however, viewers noticed a link to BBC's Line of Duty and joked the identity of 'H' had finally be found.

That's because Harvey's henchmen referred to him as 'H'.

But because of the popular cop drama, Corrie viewers could only think of one thing.

"H from Steps, or H from Line of Duty? @itvcorrie #corrie #coronationstreet," one viewer tweeted.

Another said: "I think he is H on Line of Duty. #Corrie."

"So Harvey is H! Best tell AC 12 #Corrie," a third joked.

A fourth added: "Calling Harvey 'H' was not a coincidence #Corrie."

We can't see our AC-12 heading to Weatherfield any time soon but they do have one prolific cop on their hands.

Viewers noticed last week that the cobbles only seems to have one member of the police force on hand.

PC Craig Tinker was the first to arrive when Roy Cropper called the police as Corey Brent terrorised his niece Nina Lucas.
