Corrie fans say upcoming storyline is 'so obvious' after latest scenes

Coronation Street fans have predicted an upcoming storyline, saying its 'so obvious'.

On Monday night's double trip to Weatherfield, viewers watched as Daniel Osbourne offered help to a stressed out Summer Spellman.

The teen was in the cafe trying to work on her personal statement as she plans to apply to Oxford University.

Bernie Winter offered to help with cleansing crystals before Daniel swooped into the rescue and offered to give her some pointers after he got into the prestigious uni himself.

Summer later visited Daniel in his form room as he now has a permanent job at the local high school after working as a private tutor.

But Summer was left disappointed after she suggested staying behind for extra tuition before her entrant's exam in December.

Daniel politely turned her down and an awkward Summer quickly dashed out of his classroom.

Viewers of the ITV soap were quick to have their say on social media about what could happen next.

"It's leading up to a student/teacher relationship. Daniel and summer.. so obvious @itvcorrie #Corrie," tweeted one.

Another shared: "Daniel & Summer may start as innocent tutoring but I think Summer will start to get a crush on Daniel."

"Where is this storyline with Summer & Daniel going? Seems a bit dodgy," a third asked.

A fourth predicted: "#Corrie Daniel & Summer may start as innocent tutoring but I think Summer will start to get a crush on Daniel."

"Summer fancies Daniel ...... oh god #Corrie," another said.

But a Corrie fan desperately said: "Don't go there with Daniel and Summer I beg."

Next week, Summer’s gutted when Daniel reveals he can’t tutor her as he’s been suspended.
