Corrie fans say they're 'stressed enough' without latest drama on the street

Coronation Street fans said they were 'stressed enough' without the latest drama to hit the street.

In Monday's night's double trip to Weatherfield, viewers watched as David Platt painstakingly attempted to re-buy his childhood home which was bought be sleazy Bistro boss Ray Crosby.

A furious bidding war ensued as as neighbour Tracy Barlow was also intent on snap up number 8 Coronation Street at an auction.

In a bid to help Tracey lose, Shona took a shovel to the connection hub leaving the entire street without WiFi.

And it was just all too much for some watching at home.

"We’re all stressed enough without having to take on Weatherfield’s internet issues. My anxiety is through the roof #CoronationStreet #Corrie," wrote one.

Another said: "Life really would be stressful on the street without WiFi."

"Tracy's literally me when my wifi goes down in the middle of live tweeting #corrie," joked a third.

A fourth added: "Pmsl at tonight's episode with all the WiFi down and the bidding for number 8 #Corrie."

While others were frustrated.

"#corrie Is this episode really about a wifi breakdown!??? One of the writers got an issue with BT or something?" wrote one.

Another complained: "Good luck getting your wifi fixed Tracy it took 9 days to fix my WiFi #corrie."

The drama didn't end with the WiFi as David folded when he reached his max payout and Tracey was left fuming when she thought she was outbid by her rival.

It was Gail after all (ITV)

But it wasn't as it seemed as a 'mystery' bidder put an end to the home wars.

David was stunned to discover that the buyer was none other than his mum Gail, who had continued to live there since her son became the owner in 2013.

Though David's place at Number 8 is back up in the air after his mum told him to "jog off" for being ungrateful and not apologising.

It's never a quiet day with the Platts.
