The people of Weatherfield are reeling from the death of Seb Franklin and Tyrone Dobbs clearly wasn't thinking straight when he delivered the sad news.
Blundering Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall, bluntly announced that likeable Seb had died to two of his ex girlfriends.
His delivery of the tragic news to Alina Pop and Emma Brooker was so insensitive it floored Corrie fans.
"Has something happened?" asked Emma, noticing that Tyrone looked frantic as he took a call from boss Kevin Webster who is engaged to Seb's mum Abi.
"Seb's err, Seb's died," he told the flatmates.
Tyrone then rushed out leaving Alina, who is now dating Tyrone, and Emma in shock.
In 2019 Seb risked his life to rescue his girlfriend Alina from the murky underworld of modern slavery when she was working at nail salon for human traffickers.
After she went home to Romania he went on to date Rovers Return barmaid Emma.
He was then caught in a love triangle when Alina came back to the cobbles in February last year, but the two girls ended up becoming best friends.
Alina is now house hunting with father-of-two Tyrone after he fell for her and left his fiancee Fiz Stape.
Viewers took to Twitter to voice their exasperation at Tyrone.
"That wasn't very sensitive of Tyrone!" said one.
"What a way to tell two of his exes, Tyrone!" said another.
"Poor Emma and Alina," remarked another soap watcher.
Tyrone was later repentant about his behaviour and apologised to Alina and Emma.
"I am so sorry. I'm the dumbest man on the planet. I just rushed out. I completely forgot that you'd both ...with Seb," he said awkwardly.
And thankfully they accepted his apology.
Emma said: "You were thinking of Kevin and Abi."
And a sorry Tyrone said: "Yeah well I should have been thinking of you both."
Seb, played by Harry Visinoni, died in hospital from his catastrophic injuries after he and his goth girlfriend Nina Lucas were set-up by a vile gang of teenagers.
