Coronation Street fans predict romance could be on the cards for Fiz Stape and Ed Bailey after they shared a tender conversation about love in Friday's episode.
Fiz has been left heartbroken as her partner Tyrone Dobbs left her for a younger woman - Alina Pop, and abandoned Fiz and their two daughters.
Tyrone then made the ultimate blunder as he accidentally uploaded steamy snaps with Alina to the family photo sharing cloud during a romantic trip together.
Meanwhile, Fiz was struggling to cope as daughter Hope turned violent with her cousin, Joseph, and could not get hold of Tyrone.
In a furious act of revenge, Fiz had the locks changed in the house, by handyman Ed.
"Thanks for coming round to do this at short notice," she told him.
"Oh no problem at all, where are the girls?" ased Ed.
"Oh just upstairs doing some craft, or as I like to call it, recreating the 2010 ash cloud in glitter form," joked Fiz.
Ed replied: "Ah I remember those times, they were the good old days. Look, I am no gossip by any stretch of the imagination, but if what I've heard about you and Tyrone is true, I am really sorry.
"It's my kids that kept me, that keep me going, through the hard times, you know?" he added.
Fiz said: "It's just, I don't even know what I am supposed to say to them, or how to... Sorry you didn't come round for this," she paused, but Ed encouraged her to elaborate.
"Just, how come he gets to obliterate his whole family and start again and I am expected to just somehow pick up all the pieces?" she asked.
"I don't know, it's not fair, its really not - but I do know that you will get through it for the girls, they are all that matters," Ed kindly told her.
One fan remarked: "Ed dosnt even know Fiz that well and he's shown more heart and compassion to Fiz and the kids then Tyrone ever did. It's so terribly sad #Corrie ".
Another wondered: " #corrie don't tell me Ed and Fizz have a fling next???"
A third joked: " #Corrie Ed Bailey's come round to see to Fiz's pipes now."
