Corrie fans predict huge revenge twist as Adam lets Lydia 'get away' with crimes

Coronation Street fans are predicting that Adam Barlow will take revenge on Lydia Chambers in a huge twist.

Lydia (played by Rebecca Ryan) exited the ITV soap in scenes airing during last night's episode, but rather then get in trouble with police for pushing Adam off the top floor of the shopping centre, she got away with it after Adam insisted it was an accident.

Now fans of the show have "worked out" how Adam (Sam Robertson) will finally get his revenge on Lydia for all the turmoil she has put him through, as she confessed to why she targeted him.

The pair went to university together, where Adam admitted he had been a bit carefree with women, with Lydia one of those he had been with during that time. However, he finally apologised for treating her the way he did.

Fans of the show took to Twitter to predict there would be a huge twist coming up soon as Adam gets his final revenge.

"Unless Adam wants to get revenge on Lydia himself then I don't know why he did that #Corrie," one fan suggested online, as a second added: "I think Adam is lying to the police so he can finish off Lydia himself."

Actress Rebecca has teased she might be back on the soap very soon.

Asked if Lydia might be back one day, she said: "I think now we have have that redemption, people have seen she is not just this crazy woman just doing it for no reason, it would be good to explore it a bit more. And what she is really like as a person, I’d love to do it!"

She described the role as very "daunting" at first, adding: "I really have had the best time. When you find out you have a job on Coronation Street, it’s daunting. It’s an iconic show, it’s not just any show especially when you come from Manchester.

"I don’t tend to get very nervous when I do things and act but I was so nervous in my first week. This is Coronation Street, it’s a big deal. But the cast and crew put me at ease and made me instantly comfortable, they’re amazing and it was such a lovely experience."

In the final scenes during yesterday's show, Lydia and Adam decided to call a truce, as he headed to tell police she had nothing to do with what happened and that it was just all a big accident.

Will Adam try and get revenge on Lydia for messing up his life?
