Corrie fans predict Curtis twist after Faye and Emma kill old man on ITV soap

Coronation Street fans have "worked out" a twist on the ITV soap that could see Emma Brooker reunited with her ex.

Faye ran over a man in tonight's episode as Emma tried to teach her to learn how to drive, and now viewers of the show are convinced the accident will end up with Emma being reunited with her fiancé Curtis Delamere.

Curtis and Emma had been expecting to get married this Christmas, but after a string of lies, they called time on their romance, leaving Emma alone again as she tries to get her life back together and move on.

In today's episode of the ITV soap, fans watched on in horror as Emma hopped into the car with Faye in a bid to teach her how to drive. However, it didn't go to plan as Faye crashed into an old man called Ted.

Whilst he initially seemed more concerned about his ginger nut biscuits and refused any medical help, Faye and Emma later found out he had passed away.

However, fans are predicting this won't be the end of the storyline as Ted had been very vocal about a grandson called John.

Now viewers of the show are predicting that John could actually be Curtis - who they believe had been lying to Emma about his true identity as he had lied about a multitude of things including a heart condition.

"Is Curtis going to be the grandson they keep mentioning #Corrie," one wrote online.

As another added: "Just a thought- will Ted's grandson turn out to be Curtis?? #Corrie #CoronationStreet."

It comes after the show's boss Iain Macleod teased a "cataclysmic event" for Emma and Faye.

Fans think they've worked out a twist with Curtis (ITV)

"In terms to start the new year where we mean to go on, it takes a much worse turn for Emma and Faye," he said, There is a cataclysmic event that’s not their fault but it’s a dilemma of secrecy and cover ups.

"Two likeable women are out of their depths and the consequences are life changing. The scripts are exciting and complicated – and funny as Emma is hapless. It’s quirky but at the bottom of it, it will trigger a seismic event of their lives."
