Coronation Street fans were quick to praise Debbie Webster on Friday evening after she paid Ray Crosby a visit in prison.
Sleazy businessman Ray is responsible for sexually assaulting Faye Windass (Ellie Leach), as well as the disastrous redevelopment and sinkhole, and is currently behind bars.
Friday's episode of the ITV soap saw Debbie (Sue Devaney) decide to go and speak to Ray after finding out that Faye is struggling in prison after being put away for attacking Adam (Sam Robertson).
Debbie took the opportunity to update Ray on the sinkhole disaster and informed him that she's well aware he paid Colin £45,000 to create the sinkhole.
She also made sure to tell him that he could face a manslaughter charge because of Johnny’s (Richard Hawley) recent death.
At first, Ray didn't necessarily believe Debbie and later decided to speak to his solicitor.
Reality then kicked in and Ray realised that unless he pleads guilty to assaulting Faye, the courts could prove he was responsible for Johnny’s death.
Later on in the episode, Tim (Joe Duttine) entered the Rovers pub with some brilliant news – Ray had changed his statement and admitted that he sexually assaulted Faye.
Debbie looked chuffed and smiled as she realised she had destroyed her former business partner once and for all.
With an appeal being launched, it looks like Faye could be free and making her way back to Weatherfield soon.
Viewers were left feeling impressed with Debbie and took to Twitter to comment.
"Nice work Debbie #Corrie," one person posted, while another said: "Debbie is my queen. #Corrie."
A third person tweeted: "Well done Debbie mission complete Faye is finally going to get released #Corrie."
And a fourth added: "Ray admitting what he did to Faye, maybe Debbie Webster ain’t so bad after all #Corrie."
However, other fans of the soap were quick to point out that Debbie wasn't so innocent either.
One tweeted: "Love the way how they’ve all forgotten that Debbie wasn’t exactly an angel in the Ray stuff #Corrie."
Another commented: "Shouldn't Ray be holding Debbie over a barrel too for her involvement in the development leading to the sinkhole collapse? Debbie isn't exactly a saint and she is partly responsible for the sinkhole collapse. #Corrie."
