Corrie fans notice something wrong as 'evil' Sabeen comes for Nina in brutal court scenes

Coronation Street fans were furious as barrister Sabeen Habeeb brutally tried to tear down Nina Lucas as she stood up in court.

Viewers said their 'blood was boiling' as the hard-faced character tried to destroy victim Nina in court while defending gang ringleader Corey Brent.

As a grieving Nina tried to tell the court what she remembered that fateful night - when Corey repeatedly kicked her boyfriend Seb Franklin while she lay bleeding - Sabeen attempted to derail her in her cross-examination.

Sabeen suggested that what Nina was recalling wasn't true memories of the attack back in May.

She then poured scorn on the reconstruction that Nina had staged with Abi Franklin, Asha Alahan and Summer Spellman and did her best to discredit her.

"Oh my god she’s boiling my blood," said one fan on Twitter.

"Oooph, Sabeen's, ruthless!" exclaimed another.

"Sabeen moving like some Devil Woman.. cross examination was destructive," said another soap watcher.

Another raged: "You know Nina is one of the victims right?? Fuming!!"

And another commented: "The way the solicitor is belittling Nina is something I struggled to watch."

Other soap watchers questioned what Sabeen was doing with one saying it 'feels just wrong.'

"This is what I’ve never understood about solicitors, does that solicitor really believe that Corey did not do this and does she get paid more if he gets an innocent? Honestly, because questioning a young girl like that, to me, feels just wrong," said one."

Viewers had questions about Sabeen (ITV)

"Sabeen really is beyond VILE. Just doing her job sure but still Nina's the victim here NOT the defendant. Obviously knows what she's doing though getting the jury to believe Nina's just confused," said another.

"Surely Sabeen knows Corey is lying through his teeth. His story doesn't add up," commented another.

In the run-up to the murder trial Nina regained her memory of the hate crime on herself and Seb, which saw her love die from his catastrophic injuries the day after the gang attack.

A song triggered her into recalling the couple being chased on the way home from a romantic walk along the canal because of the way she looked.

And she remembered Corey was Seb's sole attacker while his friend Kelly Neelan had tried to stop him.

Corrie fans cheered as Nina returned to her goth identity to give evidence.

And they were delighted when she snapped back at Sabeen and demanded an apology.

"You're sneering now. It's all over your face," she told her.

"You look like how he did that night."

And when Sabeen was unconvincing in her apology she said firmly: "That means nothing to me. Say it properly. Say 'sorry' to me."

Nina, played by Mollie Gallagher, explained: "I've spent the last months terrified of who I am. Well I'm not scared anymore. Not of anyone."

"There’s the Nina we know and love," cheered one fan.

"Another outstanding performance in this evening's Corrie by @molgallagher11_," applauded another.

"Really hope this very talented young lady is recognised for her amazing acting skills."

"If they give oscars for soap performances please give one to Nina in Corrie. Brilliant," said another.

And another cheered: "Yes go on Nina snap back at her and I am glad she asking for proper apology."
