Coronation Street fans were left cheering over moving scenes on the ITV soap on Wednesday.
Nina Lucas battled her fears, and accepted who she was after recently ditching her gothic identity - following a horrifying hate crime attack.
Her boyfriend Seb was murdered after being kicked numerous times by evil Corey Brent, while Nina herself was assaulted and left for dead.
One of the group stamped on her, while both boys kicked her and left her bleeding in the road.
She was targeted by Corey because of her gothic appearance, and no doubt because of her past romance with his girlfriend Asha Alahan.

After surviving the attack, a devastated Nina blamed herself for Seb's death and blamed her gothic appearance as the reason it happened.
Viewers were gutted when the character, played by actress Mollie Gallagher, revealed she had ditched her usual makeup and outfits because of this.
In the months that have followed, Nina has struggled and hasn't been able to reconnect with her identity, nor has she dressed the way she used to.

In moving scenes on Wednesday, she confessed she had faced much prejudice and been a target over her appearance, as she defiantly stood up to Corey in court.
Viewers were in tears, as Nina stepped up to the stand in her usual get-up, wearing a long black dress with her normal makeup and styled hair back too.
The powerful moment left fans happy that she was embracing her identity again, hoping it would stay this way.
Many also saw it as her standing up against prejudice and the hate crime that took the life of her boyfriend Seb.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "So glad to see nina lucas (@molgallagher11_) back to the nina we love. Molly is beautiful the way she is, but the gothic nina is stunning, and I'm glad that she is back for the trial. I just hope she stays."
Another said: "Nina walking into that courtroom her true self and expressing herself how she wants says a lot about being yourself for you and not others."

A third added: "Nina put on her make up to give her statement in court that’s f**king powerful, always be you! A lot of respect to her and my respects go to the real victims that they’re covering this storyline on."
Meanwhile, a fourth said: "Nina finding the strength to embrace her true identity. The way Roy waved at her and Abi smiled."
A fifth agreed: "The whole country when Nina walked into court in her goth getup."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
