She recently returned to Coronation Street apparently to make amends with her former foster mum Rita Tanner, but jaws dropped as the real reason for Sharon Bennett's comeback was revealed.
Sharon, played by Tracie Bennett, walked back into Rita's life last week and she looks set to break her heart all over again.
Far from wanting to heal old wounds after not speaking to Rita since 1999, Sharon has a dark reason to be back in her old stomping ground.
As fans wondered why she seemed suddenly so interested in the Platt family and Leanne Battersby, the drama cut to her meeting a sinister figure in prison.
It was drugs lord Harvey and it turns out that Sharon is his aunt.
"How's my favourite nephew?" she asked.
"I promised my brother I'd look after you and I will," she told Harvey played by Will Mellor.
Fans took to Twitter to air their shock.
"Omg Harvey’s her nephew," tweeted one.
"Ooh! I hadn’t guessed that twist," gasped another.
"Told you! I knew Sharon was up to something," said another.
"Oh wowsers! Sharon you cow..."tweeted another.
"No wonder she was obsessed with knowing about Leanne such a good twist," remarked another viewer.
"DID NOT EXPECT HER TO BE WORKING FOR HIM," shouted another fan.

Harvey has enlisted Sharon's help in tracking down Leanne after she conspired to put him behind bars for roping her son Simon Barlow into his drugs gang.
He vowed to get his revenge after police caught up with him when she became an informant.
Leanne, played by Jane Danson, had worked for Harvey to pay off Simon's debts and he had her disguised as a nurse to sell drugs for him.
When she went to the police they asked for her help and she's now in hiding with Simon and her partner Nick Tilsley.
Wily Sharon went to see Nick's mum Gail Platt, her old neighbour, she swiped her laptop to get Nick's number.
But when Sharon returned the laptop to Gail her daughter-in-law Shona was suspicious and warned Gail that Sharon is up to something.
On Wednesday Sharon, who made her Corrie debut in 1982, attempts to glean more information about their whereabouts from Nick's 10-year-old son Sam.
