Corrie fans given 'chills' as first look teases 'deceit, drama and danger' heading to the cobbles

The Barlows are at war, Jenny is on to Sharon and Abi is out for Corey - it's set to be a busy week in Weatherfield.

Coronation Street fans say they have been given "chills" from watching the first look trailer for next week's episodes.

The ITV soap will air post-watershed scenes every night next week at 9pm in what i set to be full of 'deceit, drama and danger'.

The 30-second-trailer sets a dark mood as Peter Barlow, Corey Brent and Sharon Bentley's faces all flick across the screen.

Sick Peter is then heard telling sheepish looking Adam and Daniel Osbourne outside Roy's cafe: "You know what, if getting a new liver means destroying the family I am trying to stay alive for then I'm not even sure it's worth it."

Sarah Barlow is then seen looking worried as an emotional Carla watches on as they come to blows over the Barlow men.

"Don't play the innocent with me," a raging Jenny Connor is then seen telling Sharon as she discover's Rita Tanner's former foster daughter has been doing Harvey's "dirty work".

Is time up for Sharon? (ITV)

The police are then seen arriving on the street with Maria running towards them - so what is her involvement?

It is because her estranged husband Gary Windass - who first alerts Jenny to Harvey and Sharon's connection - forces his way inside, ordering Rita to call the police after spotting the same van that was used in the kidnap of young Sam outside the Kabin.

But outside the driver of the van pulls out a gun and as Maria checks on Rita suddenly a gun shot sounds.

Elsewhere, Corey is seen telling Roy he just wants to "pay his respects" as he attempts to attend Seb Franklin's funeral.

Abi, however, is not to be messed with and the grief-stricken mum is seen holding a glass bottle while Nina Lucas' voice rings out: "We don't want you here," before Asha Alahan is seen sobbing.

The screen suddenly turns black as Corey angrily pleads: "I've done nothing wrong," before a picture of someone appearing to be on the floor of the cobbles appears as Abi looks on.

And fans are eager to see it all unfold.

"omfg i’m SO EXCITED.. this genuinely gave me chills," tweeted one.

Another said: "I have goosebumps."

"YESS LOVE A BIG WEEK 9 PM ON THE COBBLES #corrie," a third screamed in delight.

A fourth added: "So excited for thisssss,,,, bring it on."
