Fiz Stape was left heartbroken as her fiance Tyrone Dobbs told her frankly that he was in love with another woman on Coronation Street.
Fiz, played by Jennie McAlpine, was stunned when the Coronation Street mechanic admitted that he did have feelings for Alina Pop.
The machinist wept after her man faced up to the truth that he was head over heels for Alina, who is 15 years younger than him, and Corrie fans were divided over the news.
"Yeah I love her okay?" he told a devastated Fiz in Monday's double bill.
At first Fiz fought back by saying angrily: "I don't know whether to laugh or cry, it's tragic. You're tragic.
And Tyrone, who shared a kiss with Alina after she recently admitted his feelings for him, told his fiancee: "I didn't mean to fall in love with her."
"Stop it, you're killing me," she said.
"You really believe you're in love with her?"
"Yeah I am and I think she loves me too," he admitted.
Fiz couldn't quite take in what he was telling her after almost 10 years together as a couple.
"She's an attractive young girl, you're a middle age mechanic," she told him.
"You wanted the truth, that's the truth. I'm in love with her," he retorted.
Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall, said he still loves Fiz but feels their relationship hasn't been right for a long time.
With Alina, played by Ruxandra Porojnicu, he said he feels 'butterflies.'
"She makes me feel 18 again," he told a wounded Fiz.
Many Corrie fans sided with Fiz, with one saying on Twitter: "Pack your bags Tyrone and leave, you've broke our Fiz bombs heart."
"So Tyrone has left Fiz all because of a kiss," gasped another.
"Poor Fiz Tyrone ya b*****d," fumed another spap watcher.
"I used to like Tyrone but no more," said another.
But others backed Tyrone, who agreed to pack his bags and stay with his best friend Kevin Webster and his fiancee Abi Franklin.
"Fiz needs to stop putting Tyrone down, because Alina likes him as much as he likes her," said one fan.
" He’s not making a fool of himself."
Another explained: "I really dislike Fiz. 'You're just a middle aged mechanic'. Nice. Putting him down AGAIN! Tyrone pack your bags!"
"Fiz has always picked at Tyrone," said another viewer.
"If it was a man who had done that, we would have been screaming for him to leave, why should he put up with it?!"
Fiz found out about the kiss after seeing the look on Tyrone's face when she sprang a surprise wedding in Greece, but she had no idea until now that his feelings ran so deep.
