Corrie fans' delight as Adam Barlow joins Tinder

Corrie fans couldn't hide their excitement as hunky Adam Barlow revealed he was joining the dating app Tinder.

Adam is already considering himself to be a single man after ditching his wife Sarah Platt over her feelings for her ex Gary Windass.

The suave solicitor played by Sam Robertson asked his uncle Daniel Osbourne to join him on a dating mission after declaring his marriage over on Coronation Street.

"So how about it big man? Me and you, couple of beers and let's see what's new on Tinder," he said.

"I would swipe yes on Adam," said one fan.

"Sarah, if you don’t want Adam, send him my way please and thanks," said another.

"Cmon Adam 'll treat you properly," tweeted another.

It's only six months since Adam married Sarah, but he's since suspected his wife was still holding a torch for nemesis Gary when she helped to protect her ex over the disappearance of loan shark Rick Neelan.

Sarah told police he'd been knocked down while saving her from being run down by car while she on the phone.

But really she had been running away from Gary after he confessed to murdering his former boss Rick.

Adam became suspicious when police asked why she'd called 999 before Gary was hit by the car.

Adam also found out about the watch found in the woods inscribed with Rick's name that Sarah had bought from Bernie Winter.

When Daniel turned down the invite to join him on Tinder he said: "Guess I better find another wingman then."

And when Daniel suggested he should just concentrate on rescuing his marriage Adam was adamant he'd had enough.

"I'm not the bad guy here, Sarah knows what she has to do to make this right," he said.

"She's the one that's given up on us not me."
