Corrie fans confuse Beth for a film icon after glam makeover

Coronation Street fans were confused as Beth Sutherland made a glam appearance.

The Underworld factory worker was hoping to move up the ranks as boss Carla Connor made a reappearance.

She wanted to sit on an important meeting with a client, hoping to learn the ropes.

Carla reluctantly agreed and Beth occupied her to the Bistro, with a notebook and fluffy pen in hand.

But she was surprised to see Johny Connor joining them after Carla had offered him a job at the factory doing consultancy work.

Johnny, however, soon made excused to leave after his ex Jenny walked in with her new love interest, younger man Leo.

This left Carla having to secure the tough deal on her own, alongside Beth.

And viewers were in stitches when Beth asked the client if she could have the food he hadn't touch.

After being scolded by Carla, she said it would "do for Kirky's tea" and she proceeded to get a doggy bag for the fish and chips.

But fans were quick to point out Beth's stunning makeover, even confusing her with an iconic film star.

"Is that Sandy off of Grease or Beth in Coronation Street? #Corrie #CoronationStreet," tweeted one.

Another thought: "Beth from #Corrie channeling her inner Bonnie Tyler."

"@LisaGeorgeActor you looked gorgeous in last nights episode! #Corrie #Rockstar," a third added.

Later this week, Beth's honesty gets the better of her.

After spending the night with Jenny, a loved up Leo sets off to work as an intrigued Beth watches on.

Over in the factory, Johnny overhears Beth slagging him off to Carla, suggesting he’s past it and not up to the job.
