In a TV first Coronation Street teamed up with sister soap Emmerdale to highlight climate change.
Corrie and its fellow ITV soap joined forces to deliver an important message in the same week as world leaders meet to discuss the climate crisis at the COP26 conference in Glasgow.
In Monday's Coronation Street double bill Gary and Maria Windass were enthralled by a 'Doctor Dig' viral video starring Emmerdale's Liam Cavanagh and Amelia Spencer dancing on their community allotment.

"There’s a doctor in a village in Yorkshire, and he’s been growing veg for the community,’ explained Gary as he showed Maria the video on his mobile phone.

"I wouldn't mind trying some of them dance moves," he told her.
And she quipped: "I'm not sure you could keep up Gary."
The community allotment is in memory of Liam's daughter Leanna and Amelia suggested that he made a video to promote the sustainability project.
And now it has made an appearance in Coronation Street, but not everyone was impressed.

Some fans took to Twitter to complain about the scenes in Corrie's cafe as Maria aired her fears to Gary about plans to bulldoze the playing fields at the Red Rec to make way for a bypass.
"Leave the climate change propaganda to daytime TV," tweeted one.
"#Corrie Tune in for a bit of light relief from COP26. Big mistake!!" complained another.
"#Corrie sick of hearing about climate crisis already, do we really need it forced down our throats on the soaps!" exclaimed another viewer.
And another complained: "Well that’s Corrie off my list for the foreseeable, prattling on about climate change!
"Can we ever get away from this 'emergency' which has been looming for the past 60 years!"
But other fans were delighted by the crossover moment.
"Nice one @ITV on combining the two main soaps tonight," said one.
"So @itvcorrie has just shown @emmerdale’s characters in it. I hope viewers will take on board why they’re doing the soap mix over," applauded another.
"Gary watching Dr Liam's Tic Tock video," said another excited fan.
Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, EastEnders, Casualty and Doctors are all involved in a super soap crossover that has never been seen before.
Each soap and continuing drama has filmed scenes, or included references, to cover different aspects of climate change and environmental issues and will give a nod to each other.
Emmerdale’s executive producer Jane Hudson originally conceived the idea for this unique initiative and has been co-ordinating with her fellow executives.
After many months of planning and meetings between the respective soaps and continuing drama editorial teams, the scriptwriters on each of the productions each took on the task to feature the other soaps' storylines.
Jane, on behalf of ITV Studios said: "Never before have all five soaps and both continuing dramas come together and united in telling one story.
"And we certainly haven't seen characters pop up in other shows before. This is a real treat for our audience, whilst also allowing us to get across a very important message."
