Corrie fans brand Sally 'savage' as she hits out at Toyah over baby drama

Coronation Street fans praised "savage" Sally Metcalfe for making a dig at Toyah Battersby over Abi Webster's baby drama.

Abi lost custody of her son Alfie, with the baby then being put in the care of Imran Habeeb - who Abi conceived the child with during a one night stand - and Toyah Battersby, who has been desperate to adopt a baby.

Ahead of the naming ceremony on Monday, Toyah decided it was about time for her to bring Alfie into the underwear factory to show her colleagues the little one, but she was left with quite a frosty reception.

Imran dressed the baby in a little baby grow which said "mummy's boy" on it, and was what Toyah had bought for Abi when she found out the news she had had the baby, and Toyah was initially hesitant about taking the little one out in that.

However, she decided to go with it - covered by a cute cardigan - but when they unbuttoned the jacket, the baby grow was revealed and Sally and her co-workers had a lot to say about it.

As Sean commented how the baby had Imran's eyes, Sally made a savage dig at Toyah's expense.

"Well he's hardly going to have Toyah's, is he?" she said, as she sat glumly in the corner seconds away from Toyah. As Beth came in to see what was going on, she spotted the little one's onesie and made a snide comment too.

She said: "Oh that's an interesting onesie," as Sally made another savage dig: "Oh, trading standards would have a field day."

"That's Abi's baby and should be with its mum," she fumed as an awkward Toyah watched on.

Beth then added: "If someone had snatched our Craig-y off me, they wouldn't have lived long enough to regret it," as Toyah defended herself, insisting she didn't snatch the little one and that he "needed a good home".

Abi has been adamant to get Alfie back after Ben lied to Imran and said she was still doing drugs, meaning she wasn't able to have custody of her child - but she's been thrown a lifeline after she secured evidence that Ben has been dealing.
