In Monday night's post-watershed Coronation Street episode, Sharon Bentley bizarrely tased Jenny Connor in broad daylight in the middle of the street, and no one saw.
Viewers were left confused as to how Sharon had a taser, after she produced it from her otherwise empty handbag and let rip at Jenny, shouting: "'Ave it!"
Jenny was left hospitalised but was initially too afraid to expose Sharon for her actions, because Sharon went through her phone while she was unconscious and uncovered her affair, using it as leverage to buy her silence.

But Sharon's reign of terror may soon be over as she was finally rumbled by Rita Tanner, who demanded the truth about Sharon's return - revealed to be working for drug baron Harvey, her nephew.
Corrie is airing its episodes at 9pm this week, allowing them to be more shocking and violent than usual.
Viewers were in equal parts amused and also baffled as Jenny hit the deck as Sharon acted in desperation not to be revealed as having played a part in the kidnapping of Nick's son Sam.

“You kidnapped a young boy,” Jenny accused her.
“Don’t play the innocent because I know everything. You have been doing Harvey’s dirty work for him, trying to get Leanne to change her evidence.
“You have done nothing but lie since the minute you got here.”

But before the tasing incident, Jenny managed to leave Rita a voicemail warning her that Sharon was trouble.
In her hospital bed, she kept her silence before at last admitting to her ilicit affair.
One viewer tweeted: "Not a chance Sharon just whacked out a taser and tasered Jenny “avvvv it” I’m fully dying #corrie ".
"Now, WTF did Sharon get a teaser gun? That might the funniest thing I've ever seen on this show. #Corrie #coronationstreet," giggled another.
A third wondered: "There’s one little thing that needs addressing after tonight’s @itvcorrie exploits... HOW THE HELL DID SHARON HAVE A TASER?! #Corrie ".
