Corrie fans asking the same questions as 'PC Tinks' arrests Paul for Todd's crime

Coronation Street viewers were left asking the same questions following the latest trip to Weatherfield.

During Wednesday's night's double bill of the ITV soap, fans watched as Todd Grimshaw continued to scheme and steal his way out of a deep hole.

Todd is trying to keep teenager Will from revealing the truth about his ploy that saw him win back the affections of Billy Mayhew.

Earlier this week, Todd attempted to steal thousands in cash, after local Big Issue seller, Matty, died and those who knew him had a whip-round for his funeral.

Todd placed £2k in the till and stuffed the other £5k in a marble urn but was later horrified when he discovered the deceased’s brother, Mr Hendricks, has collected the marble urn.

But with Will not letting up, and spending more time with Summer Spellman, Todd had to try something else and when Billy revealed he had the go ahead to spend £7k on a heat pump for the halfway house, Will cornered Todd and suggested that if he’s struggling for cash, he should steal it from Billy.

And that is exactly what Todd sets out to do, with the help of Will, not realising the youngster had already stolen Todd's engagement ring.

Viewers saw Todd manage to scam his way into luring Ed Bailey out of the builder’s yard on the promise of a lucrative job, and with him suffering cash flow problems, Ed has no choice but to accept.

Todd then borrows the undertaker’s van with the intention of using it to transport the stolen heat pump but just as he sets about stealing it, Ed returns to the yard.

As Ed locks up and leaves, he is left having to report that the heat pump as stolen and this leaves Craig Tinker wonders if he’s fallen out with anyone recently and Ed immediately suspects Paul Foreman after he got mad at him over not receiving his wages earlier in the day.

Police officer Craig then finds Paul in the Rovers, who is clearly drunk, and questions him about the stolen heat pump.

But Paul gets increasingly irate and Billy and Todd watch as Craig manhandles an angry Paul - who keeps referring to him as 'PC Tinks' - into a police car as he continues to protest his innocence.

Viewers, however, were left with questions due to the way Craig arrived at the scene.

"@itvcorrie Question in case no one else has asked- why did Craig need blues and twos to take Paul to the cop shop- was he in a hurry for the two Ronnies? #corrie."

Another noted: "#Corrie P.C. Tinks putting on the blues and twos to drive 25 yards round the corner to the cop shop in the next street."

"Alright alright Craig, chill out man, ya don't need the bloody sirens on to take someone to the station to question! #Corrie," a third added.

A fourth jokingly asked: "@itvcorrie Does Craig run his own Police Force?"

And that wasn't all they spotted.

"Who bought Paul the five pints, thought he had no money?! #corrie," asked one.

Another questioned: "Since when were paul and david besties?? #corrie."
