Coronation Street fans have been having their say over Summer Spellman developing an awkward crush on her teacher and neighbour Daniel Osbourne.
In Wednesday night's double bill (November 10) viewers cringed as sixth form pupil Summer spotted two tickets for The Importance of Being Earnest on Daniel’s desk.
When Daniel, 26, caught up with Summer, who is 17, in the school corridor and asked her if she was free that evening, she couldn't hide her glee as she thought that he was asking her out.

But she was crestfallen when he explained that he’d like her to babysit his son Bertie while he went to the theatre.
Summer has got the wrong impression after becoming a regular babysitter for Bertie and having private tuition from Daniel at his flat.

And he's been helping her with her plans to apply to Oxford University.
The teacher was recently accused of favouritism towards Summer by David Platt after he prioritised giving her tuition over his son Max.
But Summer has since become a mentor to the younger pupil and on Monday night she gave Max his coaching in Daniel’s flat so she could look after Bertie at the same time.

And when Daniel came home she was over the moon when he suggested to Summer she stayed and shared his takeaway.
Corrie fans have taken to Twitter to say they can't understand why he hasn't realised there's a problem with this.
"Daniel, for such an intelligent man, you sure can't see what's going on under your nose....Summer is smitten," warned one fan.
"Daniel completely unaware of the most common sense of teaching rules," said another.
"Summer right fancies Daniel you can tell a mile away," another remarked.
"Daniel needs to relax, Summer's gonna get a crush omg," a fourth warned.
"Is Daniel stupid? As if a teacher would have two of his pupils in his flat," said another fan.
Poor Summer has been unaware that Daniel is actually secretly dating Daisy Midgeley.
Summer is played by 23-year-old Harriet Bibby.
She took over the role of Billy Mayhew's goddaughter in November last year from Matilda Freeman.
The role was recast after Matilda, who was the same age as the character, decided to leave the soap.
