Coronation Street fans didn't know how to feel following the latest trip to Weatherfield.
There was relief earlier this week when Todd Grimshaw was finally exposed and his crimes revealed to neighbours and more importantly, fiance Billy Mayhew.
Viewers of the ITV soap have been waiting for Todd to get his comeuppance after scheming his way back into Billy's life by splitting him and former flame Paul Foreman up.
Billy and Summer Spellman then reported Todd to the police for stealing the heat pump for the half-way house.

But Todd isn't willing to give up without a fight and after being released, he heads straight for the flat, only to kick the door down and find Summer unconscious on the kitchen floor.
He then arrived at the hospital to check on Summer while also begging Billy for forgiveness.
"What, do you think you're her knight in shining armour?" Billy fumed at his troubled ex before Todd soon declares: "You'll give me another chance, I know you will."
Billy vows never to forgive Todd for breaking his and Summer's heart but it was the scenes that followed that really pulled on viewers' heartstrings.
As Summer laid in her hospital bed with Billy by her side, he said: "You are the only person that matters.
"From now on, it's just me and you kid."
And this has left fans wanting to see more from the pair.
"Crying at Summer and Billy's heart-to-heart #Corrie @HarrietBibby @Dan_Brocklebank work so well together," tweeted one.
Another said: "'It’s just you and me kid' Loved this scene. More of Billy & Summer being a little team please #Corrie."
"Have to say this Todd and Billy angst is brilliant. Billy’s pain is horrible but soo real great acting Dan. They always do angst soo well. Fingers crossed they go a good job with this storyline & Todd’s redemption. Then give my my billy & Todd endgame #corrie," a third added.
A fourth said: "What an outstanding storyline Beautiful performances by @Dan_Brocklebank @HarrietBibby."
"Please keep your word to summer that it'll be just you and her and put each other for, no excuses, both of you deserve to put each other first," another begged.
Billy actor Dan Brocklebank was also feeling the love.
"Thank you for all of your lovely messages tonight about @itvcorrie," he tweeted.
"It’s great to see you all so enthused by the storyline & the characters especially when we’ve all (cast & crew) worked so hard to bring it to the screen at this time. Big love."
He later tweeted: "Be around people who feel like home. Accept nothing less."
