Coronation Street fans complained that they were distracted from heart-breaking soap scenes by the noise coming from Nick Tilsley's 'squeaky' jacket.
Viewers were cringing as Nick tried to gently tell his son Sam Blakeman the news that his mum Natasha was in hospital.
But his biker jacket grabbed the attention.

"She's had to have an operation," he told Sam gravely as his jacket crackled with seemingly every movement.
Corrie fans took to Twitter to complain.
"Nick's leather jacket is rather noisy!!" exclaimed one.
"Hi ITV, I have been affected by tonight’s #Corrie. Nick’s squeaky leather jacket is making me cringe," another told soap bosses.
Another remarked on Nick's "very vocal pleather jacket."
While a fourth said: "Nick’s pleather jacket is causing me concern."
"Nick's jacket making all that noise is really distracting!" grumbled another soap watcher.
And another commented: "Nick's jacket is annoying me."
Corrie fans were fuming after Monday night's double bill as Natasha died following two operations in a bid to save her life.
She was shot last week in a case of mistaken identity by drugs lord Harvey Gaskell.
Harvey opened fire thinking that Natasha was Nick's partner Leanne Battersby after they both wore the same Morticia Addams Halloween costume.
In a final heart-breaking moment between mother and son Natasha, played by Rachel Leskovac, told Sam how much she loved him as she prepared to go back to surgery to stop internal bleeding.
Natasha arrived on the cobbles last year and revealed that she'd had a secret son with Nick after they were in a relationship 10 years ago.
Fans think that Nick, played by Ben Price, and Leanne will now become Sam's family.
