Corrie death, EastEnders murder clue and Emmerdale diagnosis: Soap highlights for this week

Viewers of Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders have plenty of action to look forward to this week, while there are some sad scenes ahead.

In the Dales, one teenager finally gets a possible diagnosis after months of symptoms - leading to them disappearing.

It comes about after they suffer a manic episode, with her loved ones eager to get to the bottom of what's going on.

Over on Corrie, and it's time to say goodbye to a loved character as the soap airs a tragic death - paving the way for a second character to exit the show.

On EastEnders this week, there's possible hints about what's ahead with a reference to the recent flashforward clip that aired last month.

Coronation Street says goodbye to a beloved character this week (ITV)

Coronation Street says goodbye to a beloved character this week on the ITV soap in a heartbreaking death.

Ahead of an exit of sorts for one resident, there's tears in store when a much-loved character is killed off - and another character is blamed for their demise.

Evelyn Plummer is left distraught this week, when her beloved dog Cerberus suddenly falls ill and is rushed to the vets.

The character gets some worrying news about his condition, before finding out the cause of Cerberus' ill health.

Just as Evelyn confronts Roy Cropper, blaming him for what has happened, tragedy strikes.

Poor Cerberus dies this week, ahead of Evelyn departing the Cobbles - with actress Maureen Lipman taking a break from the show to focus on a brand new role.

EastEnders flashforward clue

EastEnders is set to revisit the random wedding dresses (BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron)

EastEnders is set to revisit the random wedding dresses on Albert Square, which will seemingly play a major factor in the Christmas storyline teased in a flashforward last month.

The BBC soap teased a shock new Albert Square murder victim in a grisly flashforward scene, in which Sharon Watts was seen wearing a wedding dress.

The sensational twist foreshadowed the death of one character – but their identity is under wraps until Christmas.

BBC One soap fans are already aware that Kat and Phil are set to get married at Christmas this year, but it was instead Sharon wearing a wedding dress in the flashforward scene.

New BBC spoilers have now revealed that this week sees the return of the ominous wedding dresses to the screen, which were last seen when Stacey Slater took a delivery of numerous frocks.

BBC One viewers at home were previously distracted by one wedding dress in particular among Big Mo’s stock, which appeared to be identical to the one Sharon had been wearing during the flashforward episode.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, while EastEnders airs at the same time on BBC One on Mondays to Thursdays.

Corrie airs straight after Emmerdale at 8pm on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays.
