Coronation Street aired harrowing scenes on Monday night, as a special flashback episode revealed the truth about Nina Lucas and Seb Franklin's attack.
The scenes showed what happened that night, and Seb's final moments before he sadly lost his life.
Following the immediate aftermath of the attack, viewers learned Seb was briefly conscious and trying to save his girlfriend in his final moments - even managing to call an ambulance that may have saved her life.
Nina and her boyfriend Seb were harassed and followed, before being brutally beaten and left for dead in a horrific hate crime attack, with Nina targeted over her gothic appearance.
The attack happened earlier in the year, with both Kelly Neelan and Corey Brent facing court over Seb's death.
Viewers know that Kelly was there at the time of the crime, and was involved in terrorising the couple, but she did not kill Seb - Corey did.
Horrifying flashback scenes showed the moment this was confirmed, as Corey kicked Seb and left him bleeding on the floor, soon losing consciousness.
But what the episodes also confirmed were Seb's heartbreaking final moments, before he tragically succumbed to his fatal injuries.
After the vile attack, Corey, Kelly and the others left the pair to die on the floor, with them bleeding out.
Seb managed to drag himself across the road after seeing Nina fighting for her life in the distance, clearly injured.
Despite struggling to breathe and being in a huge amount of pain, Seb pulled himself towards Nina in a desperate bid to save her life.
He began choking, with him struggling to stay awake - all the time his thoughts being on his girlfriend.
After reaching her, he tried to wake her up and told her he loved her before calling for an ambulance.
Finding her phone on the floor he called for help, and managed to give a location and details of the attack.
It's then that after telling Nina he loved her one final time and taking her hand, he tragically slipped unconscious as his head injuries took full effect.
Viewers know that Seb later died from a brain injury in hospital, leaving his loved ones devastated - and the scenes of what really happened left many fans in tears.
Whether Nina's account of what happened now that she has remembered the attack will get justice for her boyfriend, remains to be seen.
