Corrie actress Georgia Taylor's famous partner and her real name revealed

She's currently starring in Celebrity Gogglebox with her pal Sunetra Sarker as they dissect the week's TV shows.

But many fans may not realise that away from the cameras Georgia Taylor has a famous other half.

The Coronation Street star's long-term partner is fellow actor Mark Letheren.

Mark, 50, played journalist Simon Kitson in the ITV drama The Bill and played counsellor Ben Harding in BBC One's Casualty.

The couple met on the set of Casualty in 2008, reports the Star.

Mark also had a recurring role as DS Kevin Geoffries in the ITV crime drama Wire in the Blood.

Georgia, who was introduced on the cobbles as Toyah with the hellraising Battersby family in 1997, was actually born Claire Jackson on February 26 1980 in Wigan.

As a teenager she attended the Willpower Youth Theatre in Wigan.

Her character was born as the result of a teenage fling between Janice Lee and Ronnie Clegg and Toyah grew up not knowing her father.

She was raised by Janice and Les Battersby along with Les's daughter Leanne played by Jane Danson.

Her character was at the centre of a harrowing storyline when she was raped by former neighbour Phil Simmonds.

She left the Street in 2003 after finding out that her boyfriend John Arnley had cheated on her with her best friend Maria Sutherland.

George, 41, joined the cast of Casualty as doctor Ruth Winters in 2007 and she was a series regular until 2011.

In September 2016 Toyah's comeback was announced and she made an explosive return at Christmas when it was revealed that she had left her husband of five years Toby Chapman for Peter Barlow, Leanne's ex husband.

In 2017 Toyah and alcoholic Peter bought the Rovers Return together and became the pub's new landlords.

She longed to become a mother with Peter, but failed to get pregnant with IVF and their surrogate Jacqui Ainsworth sadly miscarried.

Keeping the tragedy a secret from Peter, Toyah struck a deal with Eva Price to pass off her newborn daughter Susie as the baby Jacqui had carried.

But when the guilt became overwhelming she handed the baby back and Peter ended their relationship.

Toyah is now in a relationship with solicitor Imran Habeeb and they started fostering last year.
