CORRECTION

An article published on September 30, 2025 headlined “Trump: Blair to be interim Gaza leader” reported Donald Trump said Sir Tony Blair “will be the interim leader of Gaza” and that the “US president said Blair would ‘lead’ the board”. This was inaccurate – President Trump did not make these claims. The correct position is that Blair was proposed as a member of the Board of Peace which would oversee an interim authority in Gaza and be chaired by President Trump. This correction has been published following an upheld ruling by the Independent Press Standards Organisation.
