Jan. 14----A Page 1 news brief Tuesday incorrectly referred to Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan and Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White as lawmakers. They are statewide elected officials.

--In an obituary Tuesday on Burton Ruby, one of his surviving children was misidentified as a son. He is survived by three daughters, including Patricia Ruby Sinervo, and three sons.

The Tribune regrets the errors.
