Coroner to examine death of 29-year-old man after crash

An inquest has been opened into the death of a 29-year-old man following a crash in Nottinghamshire.

Ryan James Trickett was born on February 14 1992 and died on March 6 2021.

He died at Heckdyke Road in West Stockwith, north Nottinghamshire near Retford.

The crash happened at around 8.25am on Saturday March 6 and emergency services were called.

A postmortem examination has been carried out with the provisional cause of death as outstanding.

But as the death is related to a road traffic collision an inquest was opened.

It was adjourned for further enquiries with date to be fixed.

Mr Gordon Clow, assistant coroner for Nottinghamshire, opened the inquest on the morning on Tuesday May 4 at Nottingham Council House.

The coroner expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Ryan.
