Coroner opens inquest into death of 42-year-old mum and grandma found dead in Eastwood home

The coroner has opened an inquest touching on the death of a 42-year-old mum and grandma who was found dead in her home in Eastwood.

Janene Terry was found by her daughter, Keeley, 22, in her home in Seymour Road, Eastwood, on the morning of February 5 this year.

Keeley recently spoke to Nottinghamshire Live to pay tribute to her mum, who she described as "like a best friend".

Assistant coroner Laurinda Bower opened the inquest into her death on Tuesday, July 27.

She said: "Ms Terry was identified by her daughter. The provisional cause of death is yet to be ascertained but the circumstances of the death lead me to open this inquest.

"I would like to express my sincere condolences to all who knew her."

Emergency services, including paramedics and the air ambulance, were called out to Eastwood at the time but Keeley said they told her it was too late.

Her daughter says her mother had suffered with COPD and Emphysema, both long-term, progressive diseases of the lungs.

Ms Terry leaves behind three daughters and a grandchild.
