Millions of Brits have been told to work from home in the fight against coronavirus - meaning their partners and families are now also their colleagues.
Many people are very different in the office than they are in the normal world. Some swear less, some swear more. Some are far nicer and some are far meaner.
And as we all settle into our new kitchen office for what appears to be the foreseeable future, the work persona that once existed independent of home life are now being brutally exposed.
There's always that one person in the office who loves to 'hammer out the details' or 'touch base' - but we never expect one to be hiding in our own homes.
It was a reality Laura Norkin was left facing, after tweeting : "A funny thing about quarantining is hearing your partner in full work mode for the first time. Like, I’m married to a 'let’s circle back' guy — who knew?"
And it really opened a can of worms, as others replied with their own examples in which they barely recognised the people they once thought they knew so well.
One replied to say: "Turns out my husband can small talk, just not with anyone we know in non-work life."
They kept coming as the tweet racked up more than 660,000 likes:
Another said: "My partner is laid back and chilled about everything, never has much of an opinion or argument, but apparently at work he's super competent and speaks up and gets things done. It's very disorientating."
And for many it was eye-opening experience to learn that their seemingly useless other halves could transform into serious work mode at the drop of a hat.
One revealed: "My husband was prancing around our living room like 'a raptor going to the shops' (his words) and then five minutes later was running a meeting sounding all professional. It's all very confusing."
Another said: "Hearing my wife teach middle schoolers in the other room. She’s amazing."
A third replied: "My hubby was a pilot. One day they allowed families into the simulator he was 'flying'. When I heard him on the radio doing all the 'Charlie Tango 259 request clearance to land' stuff I was gobsmacked. He sounded like a real pilot. Who would have thought!"
