A Scots granny has gone viral after her Edinburgh granddaughter shared a heartwarming clip of the 93-year-old telling everyone: "It will all be fine".
The video, shared by @islaanne1 on on Tuesday night, was clearly the kind of uplifting content that everyone was in desperate need of, having since gone viral.
With many elderly people self-isolating to stay safe from the deadly virus, families have been adjusting to keeping their distance from loved ones, especially grandparents.
Isla said: "Got this update from my wee granny. 93 and still going strong."
In the clip, the pensioner says: "Hello everybody, I'm still here. I tell you I'm like a bad penny, there's no getting rid of me.
"I hope you're all keeping well and doing what you're told. Keep to the rules and you will all be fine, it will all pass. Bye, bye for now."
Racking up over 200,000 likes on social media, the video has been shared by thousands of people with many calling for more updates from Isla's grandmother, who has been dubbed "#WeeGranny".
One person said: "Can we please get updates from #WeeGranny like, daily?! She legit made me feel better than anyone yet in this catastrophe. Go Granny!"
"Twitter just adopted 'Granny Scotland'", joked another.
Countless others said they found Wee Granny's message "comforting" in these times of uncertainity.
"You are very lucky...she is fabulous. The way she says "it will all pass" is so comforting", wrote one.
