There have been one further death from coronavirus in Ireland, as well as another 11 new confirmed cases.
This brings the total number of deaths to 1,741, while the total number of cases now stands at 25,509.
The latest figures were announced by the National Public Health Emergency Team this evening.
A spokesperson said: "The HSE is working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to provide them with information and advice to prevent further spread.
"The Covid-19 Dashboard provides up-to-date information on the key indicators of Covid-19 in the community."
