Boris Johnson has been admitted to intensive care at a London hospital after his condition deteriorated this afternoon.
The Prime Minister - who is suffering from Covid-19 symptoms and was taken to St Thomas' Hospital on Sunday - was moved after advice from his medical team.
Meanwhile, England's top doctor has said it would be a "mistake" to discuss an end to the coronavirus lockdown before the outbreak peaks as the Government faced calls to lay out an "exit strategy".
Speaking at the daily Covid-19 press conference at Downing Street on Monday, Professor Chris Whitty said it was too early to talk about the “next phase” of the UK’s coronavirus response.
