Coronavirus UK LIVE: Lockdown set to continue 'without change' as Covid-19 death toll jumps by 717 and Boris Johnson 'focuses on recovery'

It is "far too early" to even think about relaxing lockdown measures, Dominic Raab has said, after another 717 coronavirus patients died over night.

The Foreign Secretary warned that Brits should expect current social distancing measures to continue into May, as he led Monday's Downing Street press conference.

Meanwhile, Boris Johnson is focusing on his recovery at his country retreat after testing negative for Covid-19.

“The Prime Minister is focusing on his recovery and he is not currently carrying out Government work," his spokesman said.
