A new timelapse video shows the rapid spike in the number of daily coronavirus cases across the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area.
19,769 positive coronavirus cases have been recorded in the region in October alone, more than the total of all the other months put together since March.
605 cases were registered in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde jurisdiction last Wednesday, October 21, the highest daily total since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The first cases in the area were recorded on March 11.
