It comes after hard-working NHS staff were targeted by thieves stealing valuable car parts while they are at work.
Whilst the healthcare workers have been working long hours to tackle coronavirus and help vulnerable patients, thieves have allegedly stolen catalytic converters from their cars.
Hampshire Constabulary have received multiple reports of the valuable car exhaust part being stolen from vehicles belonging to NHS staff at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital's car park.
Two NHS staff returned to their separate cars in the evening to find the catalytic converter missing.
Chief executive Alex Whitfield said: "It is shocking that somebody would target hard-working NHS staff, particularly at a time like this, when they are needed more than ever."
