Coronavirus testing centre set up at Nottinghamshire County Council headquarters

Work has taken place to set up a coronavirus testing centre on the grounds of Nottinghamshire County Council's headquarters.

Pictures provide a glimpse of the facility at County Hall in West Bridgford.

It comes after it was reported another testing centre was due to be set up at the Forest Park and Ride, in the city, after a unit was initially opened at the site temporarily last month.

There have been a further 642 cases of coronavirus recorded across the whole of Nottinghamshire in the past 24 hours, according to Government figures released on Wednesday (October 21).

Nationwide, the death toll now stands at 44,158 and 789,229 people have tested positive for Covid-19.

In Nottingham, 247 new positive tests have been recorded - and the total now stands at 9,340.

There have also been increases of 83 in Gedling, 67 in Bassetlaw and 62 in Broxtowe.
