Coronavirus test kits and face masks flown into Prestwick Airport as Nicola Sturgeon confirms the arrival of more PPE in Scotland

Another batch of critical personal protective equipment (PPE) has been flown into Prestwick Airport today.

The consignment of 100,000 testing kits and and 10 million face masks touched down this morning.

It follows a similar delivery last weekend.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed: "Alongside international procurement we're also working to boost Scotland's domestic supply lines.

"A month ago we put out a call to action to Scotland's businesses, asking them what they think they can do to support the flow of equipment to our health and social care sector.

"I can tell you that to date more than 1600 businesses and individuals have answered that call, and I want to thank each and every one of them today.

"We're working hard to assess and coordinate each of these offers as quickly as possible and in doing that prioritising the support that is most needed."
