If you are showing symptoms of coronavirus it is important that you book a test.
That means if you have a high temperature, a new and continuous cough, or a loss or change to sense of taste and smell, it's important to get tested.
There are two ways to do it - either by ordering a kit to be delivered to your home, or to book an appointment at a walk-in or drive-through centre.
One advantage to booking at a test centre is that the results will be available the next day, while home kits can take several days to come back depending on how busy the service is.
In order to book a test centre appointment or order a home kit, visit this page on the NHS website.
Test centres can be very busy, however. At the time of writing, no appointments were available at the five nearest test centres to Nottingham. Instead, the nearest with availability was Oldham in Greater Manchester.
