Tesco will stop selling skimmed milk in its stores as it streamlines what's on offer to make sure it can stock enough of the most in-demand products.
The supermarket will also temporarily axe most of its promotions and multi-pack deals in an effort to stop people panic buying during the coronavirus outbreak, The Sun reports.
It means customers will soon only have the choice of semi-skimmed or whole milk - in either two or four pint bottles.
Tesco will also simplify its toilet roll range, with at least one supplier asked to only send nine-roll packs in.
The changes are designed to let factories create more of each product, rather than varying packaging or quantities as normal.
The chain is also said to be increasing orders with local dairies to protect its supply in Scotland, Wales and Cornwall.
Tesco will be getting rid of many of its promotions and multi-buy deals too, in an effort to stop people using them to boost their stockpiles when demand is high.
A Tesco spokesperson told The Sun: “These are challenging times and we are facing unprecedented demand.
"We are doing everything we can to ensure customers get what they need including setting purchase limits on our products and simplifying our range to get more of the most popular products on shelves.
"In the current climate, when we have a limited amount of stock, promotions such as multi-buys are irresponsible.
"It means some products have gone back to their pre-promotion prices. We are working tirelessly with our suppliers to maintain supply and keep stores stocked.”
