Coronavirus symptoms: 13 serious and minor signs of Covid-19 including one few people know about

The World Health Organization has reminded everyone the symptoms attached to Covid-19 ahead of the Winter months.

The health body has constantly updated their social media pages reiterating information on the pandemic as we enter flu season.

And WHO want you to be aware of 13 serious and minor symptoms of Covid and what you should do if you have any of them.

They range from severe to minor and include a lesser know symptom of redness or irritation in a person's eyes.

WHO stress that if you have any of the serious symptoms you should "call your healthcare provider or health facility and seek medical care immediately".

Here's a look at the full list of Covid symptoms that you need to look out for;

Covid-19 symptoms

Serious symptoms

  • Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
  • Loss of speech or mobility or confusion
  • Chest pain

Most common symptoms

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Tiredness
  • Loss of taste or smell

Less common symptoms

  • Sore throat
  • Headache
  • Aches and pains
  • Diarrhea
  • A rash on the skin or discolouration of fingers or toes
  • Red or irritated eyes

A spokesperson for the WHO added: "Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.

"Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.

"The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol based rub frequently and not touching your face.

"The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow)."
