A British man who unknowingly spread coronavirus to at least 11 people has been discharged from hospital after making a full recovery.
Businessman Steve Walsh, the man at the centre of a UK outbreak of Corid-19, is no longer contagious, NHS strategic incident director Professor Keith Willett said.
Speaking yesterday before he was discharged from Guy's and St Thomas' in London Mr Walsh, 53, said his thoughts are with others who have contracted the virus.
Mr Walsh, from Hove near Brighton, who works for a firm providing gas analysis equipment, caught the virus in Singapore and is thought to have infected 11 others at a French ski resort he visited on his return from the city-state financial state.
Five of the cases linked to Mr Walsh are in England, five are in France and one is in Majorca, Spain.
Two of the people who contracted coronavirus at the chalet where Steve Walsh stayed are Bob Saynor and his wife, Catriona Greenwood.

Eight people have tested positive for the virus in the UK so far. The bug has killed more than 1,100 people worldwide with the vast majority in China, where it originated.
Professor Keith Willett, NHS strategic incident director, said: "I'm pleased to say that - following two negative tests for coronavirus, 24 hours apart - Mr Walsh has been discharged from Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, having made a full recovery following his treatment."
The statement added that Mr Walsh's symptoms were mild and he is no longer contagious.
In a statement after leaving hospital, Mr Walsh thanked those involved in his treatment and recovery.

"I'm happy to be home and feeling well," he said.
"I want to give a big thank you to the NHS who have been great throughout and my thoughts are with everyone around the world who continues to be affected by the virus.
"It's good to be back with my family and I would ask you please to respect our privacy from this point on."
How Steve Walsh unknowingly became a 'super-spreader'
- The 53-year-old scout leader contracted the virus during a conference at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Singapore organised by Servomex
- He then travelled to Les Contamines-Montjoie, near Megeve, for a ski break to stay with friends
- Mr Walsh then flew from Geneva to London on an easyJet plane with 100-plus passengers
- He went to his local pub, The Grenadier in Hove, for a drink on Saturday February 1
- Also attended a group yoga session in a church hall on Monday February 3
- On February 6 he called the NHS 111 after receiving a warning over conference coronavirus virus
- Then he walked into Brighton hospital's A&E with flu symptoms and being rushed into quarantine in London last week
Between them, the two doctors worked in four different places in East and West Sussex - a nursing home, an A&E department and two GP practices.
The pair are now in isolation, and efforts to trace those that came into contact with them are ongoing.
The second GP has not been named.
The total number of people with coronavirus in the UK is eight. There are six cases from the Brighton area - Steve Walsh plus five others - and two cases, both Chinese nationals, who were staying in York.
The Chinese Grand Prix - which had been scheduled for 19 April in Singapore - has been postponed as a result of the outbreak.
