Coronavirus: Student nurse surprised with 'generous' gift from Rod Stewart after battle

A student nurse who fought for her life after being infected with coronavirus has shared her surprise, after receiving an unexpected gift from a singing legend.

Sir Rod Stewart sent Natasha Jenkins a "generous" gift after she returned home, following 22 days on a ventilator.

Rod had heard about the student nurse's story, with her emotional reunion with her three children waiting for her at home going viral.

He decided to do something to help her, so that she could recover at home without having to worry about money coming in.

Natasha was completely shocked, when she received a signed card from the Sailing singer.

She went on to hosts Ben Shephard and Ranvir Singh: "That was amazing, obviously I can't work at the moment.
